Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data ХАМАЛИБГ ООД (Hamali.BG Ltd.) collects when you use UKtoBGvan.co.uk, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
UKtoBGvan.co.uk is a removals service operated by ХАМАЛИБГ ООД (Hamali.BG Ltd.) (“we”, “us”, “our”) — a company registered in Bulgaria under company number 131372715, with its registered office at 6 Nerazdelni Street, 1164 Lozenets, Sofia, Bulgaria. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@hamali.bg.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the website uktobgvan.co.uk and to the personal data we collect when you contact us about a move. When you click “Get a quote”, you are taken to hamali.ai — a separate quoting platform also operated by Hamali.BG, which has its own terms and may handle data differently. Please review the information provided there before using it.
3. The personal data we collect
We only hold the information you choose to give us when you get in touch and arrange a move. This typically includes:
- your name;
- your email address and phone number;
- the UK address we are collecting from and the Bulgarian address we are delivering to;
- details of the belongings you are moving (for example, a list of items or their approximate volume);
- your preferred dates and any other details relevant to your move;
- the contents of your emails, messages and calls with us; and
- information relating to your booking and payment.
We do not collect any special-category data (such as health, biometric or similar sensitive information), and we do not ask you for it.
4. How we collect it
You give us this information directly — by email, by phone, or in correspondence about your move. The website itself collects nothing automatically. We do not use cookies, analytics or any third-party tracking, and we host our fonts ourselves, so simply browsing uktobgvan.co.uk does not send your data — including your IP address — to Google or anyone else. You can read more in our Cookie Policy.
5. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- arrange and carry out your move, and communicate with you about it — on the basis of performing our contract with you;
- meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting and tax records — on the basis of compliance with a legal obligation; and
- keep proper business records and deal with any questions or disputes — on the basis of our legitimate interests in running the business responsibly.
We do not send marketing emails or newsletters, and we will not add you to any mailing list.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except where it is necessary to carry out your move or to meet a legal obligation. Depending on your move, this may include:
- our accountant or bookkeeper, for invoicing and tax records;
- customs authorities, or a customs agent acting for the move, where this is needed to bring your belongings across the UK–EU border; and
- public authorities, regulators or courts, where the law requires us to disclose information.
Anyone who handles data on our behalf is required to keep it secure and to use it only for the purpose we have given them.
7. Where your data is processed
We process your personal data in Bulgaria, within the EU/EEA. Transfers of personal data between the United Kingdom and the European Union are covered by adequacy decisions in both directions, which means your data continues to receive an equivalent level of legal protection wherever it sits.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a short period and then deleted. Records relating to a completed move — including invoices and accounting documents — are kept for as long as Bulgarian accounting and tax law requires. When we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your data
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to deal with your move.
10. Your rights
Under the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to erase your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data;
- ask us to transfer your data to you or another provider in a portable format; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, just email us at info@hamali.bg. We will respond within the time limits set by law, and there is normally no charge.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at info@hamali.bg so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority:
- in Bulgaria, the Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CPDP) — cpdp.bg; or
- in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk.
12. Children
UKtoBGvan.co.uk is a service for adults arranging a move. We do not knowingly collect personal data about children, and our service is not directed at them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if the way we work changes, or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always applies.
